The nomad families were showering us with warm hospitality and our Mongolia guides took very good care of us. I always thought this Mongolia trip will be “just another holiday” but it wasn’t.     Where do I even begin… Traveling for the first time without my mum at 18 to Kazakhstan, I was thrilled to finally have the opportunity and freedom. Furthermore, I looked forward to soaking in Kazakhstan’s raw, rugged and breath-taking terrain, no matter how gruelling it may have been to enjoy it. With that being said, we dived straight into a 16km hike the moment I landed. This evidently had set the tone for the trip. As we travelled across Kazakhstan, we were left flabbergasted by how quick the scenery changed. It was beautiful to see how diverse the landscape truly was, moreover, to be one with it. Unfortunately, all great adventures eventually come to an end. But, I truly enjoyed my trip, and its remarkable how @beyondexpeditionssg has made an impression on how I wish to travel in the future.
