Exploring Singapore's Wild Side: Abandoned WWII Marsiling Bunkers

Travel restrictions got you feeling stuck and restless for adventure? Thirsting for lesser-known unique places to explore in Singapore? Or maybe you just want a day of outdoor fun with new like-minded friends?

Join us for an adventurous trek at the Marsiling Bunkers! You’ll have a smashing time bashing your way through the rainforest and exploring abandoned, hidden WWII structures!

At the Marsiling Bunkers, you’ll encounter: sprawling underground tunnels leftover from British rule, rambling jungle vines, giant geckos, ankle-high mud and more!  Who knew such places existed here?! Trust us, you’ll never look at Singapore in the same way again.

The Marsiling Bunkers were originally part of a Royal Air Force fuel reserve depot built in 1942. During WWII, the tunnels were occupied and modified by the Japanese.

Long abandoned, it’s now home to giant geckos, centipedes, spiders and other creepy crawlies.

We’ll trek through a secluded forest to find the entrance to the abandoned bunkers (North and South). Foliage and rambling vines camouflage it well, but slip through the hole and you’ll find yourself in an underground tunnel.

The air inside the bunkers is cool. It’s also completely dark. The sound of dripping water echoes through the cavernous space.

A sinister flight of stairs awaits to bring you further into the bunker’s depths. At the bottom is a long tunnel with huge rusted pipes running along it, leading to more rooms filled with ankle-high mud.

  • We’ll trek into a secluded forest near Marsiling to the site of the abandoned bunkers and explore the underground tunnels.

Powerful Nitecore headlamps will be provided by us. BE team will also act as your personal adventure photographers, capturing memorable shots of you which we’ll process and send to you as a souvenir.

Note: You don’t have to be fit to go on this trek (suitable for participants of all ages), but it’s not for the faint-hearted due to the dark confined space, the mud, and creepy crawlies.
